Favourite zombie movie/tv show/novel?
Anonymous

movie: the original Day of the Dead (really hard to choose between Romero’s films but I love the underground bunker)
tv show: The Walking Dead
novel: The Rising, City of the Dead, and Dead Sea by Brian Keene (technically it’s one series so I have to list them all ;P )

Shriek the lips across ragged tongue, Convulsing together, sing violently,
Move the jaw, cry aloud, Bound up the Dead triumphantly.
The ragged they come and the ragged they kill! You pray so hard on bloody knees.
The ragged they come and the ragged they kill! Down in the cool air I can see.

— season 3 zombie Unholy Trinity (not as good/planned out as the last one because I just doodled them each separately during class lectures with ballpoint pens and highlighters and pieced them together in PS

She let’s out a sob, clutching the limp, mangled body to her chest. “….Quinn…..” Everyone is gone. Everyone. Dead. Worse. Thinking about the ‘worse’ provokes another bout of tears from the tiny brunette. “……….I’m sorry….” she mumbles to the corpse cradled in her arms; it’s an empty apology, because really, what could she possibly be sorry for? That she hadn’t been able to save her from the throng of flesh-eaters in the first place? That she wasn’t able to put a bullet through her head? That she was welcoming her return from the dead? “I-it’srnot… yerffault R-Rachlll….” had been her last words, each slurred syllable punctuated by the bubbling pop of the syrupy liquid spilling from her mouth as Rachel tried feebly to dress wounds that were beyond repair. Quinn is gone. She knows that. She’s not dumb. Not one of those stupid characters in horror movies that ignorantly cling to the idea that what would return would still have a soul, would still have those precious memories. Rachel knows what’s going to happen next. The inevitable. Surely it will be her downfall, her end, the last nail in her coffin. But none of that really matters now, does it. So when the body she clutches so dearly stirs with the first hints of reanimation she does not run. Does not cast the hollow shell of the girl she loves aside. Even as she feels jagged nails dig at her arms and slick teeth sink into her flesh does she hold tighter. “I’ll see you soon….”
